The goal isn’t to be fixed. It’s to finally become who you already are.
WHO COMES TO ADHD THERAPY?
Most adults with ADHD come for the same reasons everyone else does.
ADHD therapy — also called ADHD counseling, adult ADHD therapy, ADHD support, attention deficit therapy, adult ADHD support, ADHD-focused therapy, ADHD coping, ADHD treatment Omaha, or ADHD therapy Omaha — is talk therapy from an ADHD therapist for adults with ADHD. Late-diagnosed ADHD adults often come for the identity work. ADHD-and-anxiety or ADHD-and-depression overlaps are common.
Executive function struggles that have outlasted everything
Planning. Prioritizing. Task initiation. Time blindness. The strategies that worked for other people don’t map to your brain. ADHD-aware CBT plus executive-function coaching are built for ADHD cognition specifically.
Late-diagnosed and re-reading your whole life
You found the word at 38, 44, 52. Now everything looks different. The shame you carried about “not trying hard enough” gets a different story. Narrative therapy plus IFS work the identity layer.
ADHD plus anxiety, depression, or burnout
The common overlap. The compensating that became anxiety. The shame that became depression. The years of effort that became burnout. We work all the layers, not just the ADHD.
Years of being told you’re lazy or not trying
The internalized voice that called you lazy when you were exhausted. The parts of you that learned to over-function to compensate. IFS shame work plus values clarification address the layer underneath the executive function.
Wanting therapy that doesn’t pathologize your wiring
Neurodivergent-affirming work that respects ADHD as a wiring profile — not a deficit to fix. Tools that work with your brain, not against it.
WHAT WE WORK ON
Adult ADHD has its own work.
ADHD therapy at Thrivion addresses adult ADHD, late-diagnosed ADHD (the identity work), ADHD-with-anxiety overlaps, ADHD-with-depression overlaps, executive-function support, and AuDHD (autism + ADHD co-occurrence). For ADHD assessment or evaluation needs, see our referral page page — Thrivion doesn’t do diagnostic testing.
Adult ADHD
For adults with ADHD navigating work, relationships, and life systems. ADHD-aware CBT plus executive-function coaching.
Late-Diagnosed ADHD
Re-reading your life with new framing. Identity, grief, relief, and recalibration work after late diagnosis.
ADHD with Anxiety
The most common overlap. Treated as both — anxiety work that doesn’t conflict with ADHD cognition.
ADHD with Depression
Common when years of compensating have taken their toll. Both layers worked together.
Executive-Function Support
Practical work for ADHD executive function — planning, prioritizing, task initiation, time blindness.
AuDHD
When autism and ADHD co-occur. Neurodivergent-affirming work for both wiring profiles together.
You don’t need to be in crisis to deserve care. You don’t need a label to deserve growth.
ADHD therapy at Thrivion is neurodivergent-affirming throughout. ADHD-aware CBT — cognitive work adapted for ADHD cognition (concrete, specific, externalized, paced for attention). ACT for the values underneath the compensating behaviors. IFS for the parts shaped by years of being told you weren’t trying hard enough. Somatic work for the dysregulation that often accompanies ADHD. Executive-function coaching integrated with therapy work.
And underneath it — a family-systems lens. Adult ADHD almost always lives in a family system that may include other ADHD or AuDHD members, and the patterns matter. Thrivion offers evidence-based ADHD therapy in Omaha. We do not evaluate or prescribe. Our evidence-based approach stays affirming.

INSURANCE & COST
In-network — and honest about what therapy costs.
What’s between you and feeling better shouldn’t be a fee schedule. We’re in-network with the major Nebraska plans, including Nebraska Total Care, Molina Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, plus Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Medicaid. For plans we don’t panel directly, we bill out-of-network benefits on your behalf.

Molina Healthcare
In-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Nebraska Total Care, Molina, and Medicaid — additional plans accepted.
$0–$50 typical
Most in-network clients pay a copay between $0 and $50 per session. Intake verifies your exact cost before your first session — no surprises after.
Sliding-scale available
For clients without insurance or with high deductibles, a limited sliding-scale rate is available. Ask intake when you call — we figure it out together, no judgment.
No package upgrades
We don’t sell session packages, premium tiers, or wellness add-ons. The fee is the fee. When the work is done, the work is done.
YOUR CLINICAL TEAM
A coordinated team of master’s-level clinicians.
Five master’s-level clinicians, with neurodivergent-affirming training. Intake matches you to the clinician whose work fits your specific shape of ADHD.
Master’s-level LIMHP and LMHP clinicians, family-systems lens, and a coordinated team — not a roster of independent contractors. Intake matches you to the clinician whose training fits what you’re working on. When needs shift, the team coordinates the hand-off internally so you’re not starting over with a stranger.

FAQ
A few things adults ask before starting ADHD therapy.
Do you do ADHD evaluations or testing?
No. Thrivion is a talk-therapy practice. We don’t diagnose ADHD or provide ADHD assessment. We refer evaluation needs to specialists — see our referral page page. We provide therapy after diagnosis (or for self-identified adults).
Do you do ADHD medication?
No. Thrivion clinicians are master’s-level talk therapists, not prescribers. When ADHD medication is part of your plan, we coordinate with your prescriber. If you don’t have one, we refer.
Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis to start?
No. Many of our ADHD therapy clients are self-identified or recently diagnosed. We work with what you’re bringing — affirming work for ADHD-pattern adults regardless of diagnosis status.
How long does ADHD therapy take?
Most clients work on a specific focus (executive function, identity, anxiety overlap) for 6–12 months. Ongoing support is available for adults wanting long-arc affirming therapy.
Will my insurance cover ADHD therapy?
We’re in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Nebraska Total Care, Molina Healthcare, and Medicaid. Coverage depends on diagnosis code; intake walks you through specifics.
In-person or telehealth?
Either. Many ADHD adults prefer telehealth for the lower threshold. In-person works well for the executive-function coaching pieces.
