WHAT WE WORK WITH
Conditions our Omaha therapists treat.
You don’t need a diagnosis to start. But if you’re already navigating one of these, we have a specific page on how we work with it.
Anxiety
Recurring worry, racing thoughts, and the body that won’t fully relax.
Depression
Persistent low mood, exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix, the fog you can’t think through.
Trauma & PTSD
When past events keep shaping how the present feels — even years later.
Grief & Bereavement
Loss that doesn’t fit on a timeline. Death, divorce, ambiguous loss, anticipatory grief.
Burnout
The exhaustion of holding everything together until you couldn’t anymore.
Life Transitions
Career change, divorce, empty nest, identity shifts — the in-between you didn’t sign up for.
Relationship Issues
Patterns that keep repeating. Communication that’s gone quiet. Trust that needs rebuilding.
School Challenges
Academic anxiety, school refusal, social struggles. Counseling that gets the school context.
Emotional Regulation
Big emotions that overflow. The skills to feel them without being run by them.
Autism Counseling Support
Talk-therapy support for autistic adults and teens — not ABA, not behavior modification.
Stress Management Therapy
When the everyday becomes too much. Practical tools, real regulation, and space to slow down.
Maternal Mental Health Therapy
Pregnancy, postpartum, and the matrescence in between — support for the version of you becoming a mother.
LGBTQ+ Therapy
Affirming, identity-honoring therapy — a clinician who actually gets it, and the space to be fully you.
Don’t see your concern listed? We work with much more than what’s here — supporting clients through healing, growth, and long-term well-being. Tell us what’s going on and we’ll help you find the right path — at Thrivion or with someone who fits better.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Master’s-level therapists licensed in Nebraska.
Every clinician at Thrivion holds a master’s-level Nebraska license — LIMHP or LMHP. We’re not a directory of independent contractors. We’re a coordinated team, which means your care doesn’t fall through the cracks when life gets complicated.
MODALITY CHOICE
The room is your call. The work isn’t.
Telehealth or in-person — same evidence-based care, same clinicians.

OUR APPROACH
The modalities behind the work
Family-systems therapy
We treat the relationships people are inside of, not just the person in the chair. Patterns between partners, between parents and kids, between you and the version of your family you carry in your head.
Evidence-based modalities
CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness practice — chosen for the person in the room, not the brochure. Useful when the work is to interrupt a loop, sit with what won’t change, or build skills for when feelings move faster than coping.
Trauma-informed care
A baseline, not a modality. Safety, pacing, and choice are non-negotiable — so the work doesn’t re-create the thing it’s meant to heal.
INSURANCE & COST
In-network — and honest about what therapy costs.
Most practices won’t tell you. We will.
Nebraska Total Care
Medicaid managed care · $0 copay typical · we bill direct
Molina Healthcare
Medicaid + Marketplace · copay varies by plan tier
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Most plans · $20–$50 typical copay per session
In-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Nebraska Total Care, and Molina — plus Medicaid. Additional plans accepted; call to confirm.
$0–$50 typical per session
Most clients on Nebraska Total Care, Molina, or BCBS pay only their plan copay or coinsurance. We verify your benefits before your first session — usually same-day. No surprises at checkout.
Sliding-scale available
We don’t surprise-bill. If you’re paying out of pocket and need a sliding-scale rate, tell us — we’ll find a fit. The specific rate gets confirmed on your consult call, not buried in paperwork you find after.
No package upgrades. No pressure.
We don’t lock you into multi-session packages. We don’t push add-ons. The first conversation is free, and reaching out doesn’t lock you into anything. We’re not built around sales funnels — we’re built around people.
We can verify your benefits before your first session — typically same-day.
What’s between you and feeling better shouldn’t be a fee schedule.

Therapy in West Omaha. Online counseling across Nebraska.
In-person at our West Omaha clinic
2806 S 143rd Plaza, Omaha, NE 68144. A welcoming space designed to feel nothing like a clinical waiting room. Free parking. Easy access from I-680, Millard, Elkhorn, and Boys Town. Walk in for a first session feeling like a person, not a patient.
Virtual therapy across Nebraska
Secure, encrypted video sessions. Clinically equivalent to in-person work for most presenting issues — anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationship work. Many clients blend virtual and in-person based on their week.

WHY THRIVION EXISTS
Built by clinicians who saw the gap.
We started Thrivion after watching mental healthcare in Omaha split into two unsatisfying lanes — crisis-only emergency response on one side, polished-but-shallow boutique therapy on the other. Neither met the people in the middle. The adult quietly burning out. The family struggling together and separately. The kid who seems fine at school but isn’t. The parent white-knuckling through life one week at a time, running on empty and refusing to ask for help because they don’t believe they’ve earned it.
Thrivion Mental Wellness was built for the middle. Four licensed clinicians, no diagnostic gatekeeping, no outcome promises we can’t keep, no pressure to fit a clinical mold before you deserve help. Real conversations, evidence-based modalities, and the kind of welcoming space that lets people show up as they are — not the version of themselves they think the therapist wants to see.

Real conversations. Real progress.
“I didn’t think I was struggling enough to deserve help. Thrivion showed me that I didn’t need to be in crisis to deserve to feel better.”
— A.M., Thrivion client
“The free consult was the first time I’d talked to anyone about it. No paperwork, no pressure — just an actual conversation. That alone made it easier to say yes to the first session.”
— J.K., Thrivion client
“We came in for our daughter and ended up doing the work as a family. Six months in, the whole house feels different.”
— R.D., Thrivion client
Names withheld for client privacy. The work was real.
Money should never be the reason therapy waits.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Common questions before you reach out.
Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
No. Most of the people we work with at Thrivion don’t have a formal diagnosis. You don’t need to be in crisis. You don’t need to know what’s wrong. You just need to want more from your life than what you currently have. We start where you are — no label required.
Will my insurance cover this?
We’re in-network with Nebraska Total Care, Molina Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Most clients on those plans pay only their copay or coinsurance per session. If you have a different plan, call us — we’ll help you figure out what your benefits look like before your first appointment.
How long does therapy usually take?
It depends on what you’re working on. For anxiety, depression, and stress, many clients see meaningful symptom reduction within 8–14 sessions. For grief, identity work, complex trauma, and relational patterns, the work is often longer — and the rhythm shifts as you progress. We’ll talk about timelines and goals openly throughout.
Can I do this virtually?
Yes. We offer secure, encrypted virtual therapy and online counseling across Nebraska. Our in-person clinic is in West Omaha if you prefer face-to-face. Many clients blend both based on their schedule and preference.
What if I’m in crisis right now?
This form isn’t the right path for acute crisis. If you’re in immediate danger or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7. Once you’re stable, reach out and we’ll help you find ongoing support.
