Accepting New Clients

The goal isn’t to be fixed. It’s to finally become who you already are.

DO YOU RECOGNIZE YOURSELF?

Most adults who come to individual therapy aren’t in crisis.

Most adults who come to individual therapy in Omaha aren’t in crisis. They’re functioning — sometimes well — but running on empty. Therapy and counseling for someone who’s tired of white-knuckling. You don’t need a label to deserve growth. You don’t need to be in crisis to deserve care. Below are a few starting points clients have brought us in the first 15 minutes — in their words, not DSM language.

Something feels off and you can’t quite name it

You don’t have a clean diagnosis. You don’t even have a clean problem. You just know something’s not landing right. Talk therapy meets you there — not requiring a label first. CBT and ACT give you tools to map what’s actually happening underneath.

Functioning but running on empty

White-knuckling through life, getting by, managing. The work week happens. The weekends arrive. The fuel never quite refills. Behavioral activation and ACT for the energy layer; IFS for the parts of you that have been over-functioning for too long.

The same patterns in your relationships

The same dynamic showing up across different partners, different friendships, different jobs. The patterns you can see clearly in everyone else and not quite in yourself. IFS and attachment-based work locate the source — not just the symptom.

Grief the people around you don’t see

A loss the world doesn’t culturally honor — an ex, a pet, an identity, a future. Grief that didn’t come with a casserole. ACT for the carrying; narrative therapy for the story you’re telling yourself about it.

You’ve done therapy before and want it to move

Insight without change is exhausting. We work the modality and the system together — if prior work was purely cognitive and the body or relational layer never got addressed, that often explains why it didn’t stick. The mix gets matched to what you’re actually working on.

You don’t need to be in crisis to deserve care. You don’t need a label to deserve growth.
The Thrivion Philosophy

Every clinician at Thrivion is a master’s-level Omaha therapist (LIMHP or LMHP) working from an integrative frame: evidence-based modalities (CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care) held together by a family-systems lens. The structured cognitive work gives you tools to interrupt anxious or depressive loops. The values-based ACT work gives you somewhere to spend your energy instead of fighting the symptom. The interpersonal layer locates the symptom in the relational system that produced it — rather than treating the symptom as a personal defect.

Thrivion Mental Wellness is a mental health practice serving Omaha and Nebraska. Intake matches you to the clinician whose training fits what you’re working on. If a different modality or scope becomes the right fit later, the team coordinates the hand-off internally — you’re not starting over with a stranger. Our evidence-based approach to individual therapy stays close to the person, not the protocol.

INSURANCE & COST

In-network — and honest about what individual therapy costs.

What’s between you and feeling better shouldn’t be a fee schedule. We’re in-network with the major Nebraska plans, including Nebraska Total Care, Molina Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, plus Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Medicaid. For plans we don’t panel directly, we bill out-of-network benefits on your behalf.

In-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Nebraska Total Care, Molina, and Medicaid — additional plans accepted.

$0–$50 typical

Most in-network clients pay a copay between $0 and $50 per session. Intake verifies your exact cost before your first session — no surprises after.

Sliding-scale available

For clients without insurance or with high deductibles, a limited sliding-scale rate is available. Ask intake when you call — we figure it out together, no judgment.

No package upgrades

We don’t sell session packages, premium tiers, or wellness add-ons. The fee is the fee. When the work is done, the work is done.

YOUR CLINICAL TEAM

A coordinated team of master’s-level clinicians.

Five clinicians, family-systems lens, and intake that matches you to the one whose training fits what you’re working on. Individual therapy looks different for someone navigating relationship patterns than someone working through grief. We don’t hand you a roster — we hand you a clinician.

Master’s-level LIMHP and LMHP clinicians, family-systems lens, and a coordinated team — not a roster of independent contractors. Intake matches you to the clinician whose training fits what you’re working on. When needs shift, the team coordinates the hand-off internally so you’re not starting over with a stranger.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

What clients say.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I came in thinking I needed to be “in crisis” to deserve therapy. My clinician walked through that with me in the first session. That alone was a relief.

I’d been to therapy before and bounced. This was different — we worked the patterns, not the symptoms. It actually moved.

My clinician matched her work to what I actually came in with — not a one-size protocol. That’s the difference.

FAQ

A few things adults ask before starting individual therapy.

Do I need to be in crisis to start individual therapy?

No. You don’t need a diagnosis, a referral, or to be in crisis. “Something feels off and I can’t name it” is enough. Most clients aren’t in crisis — they’re functioning but not flourishing.

How long does individual therapy take?

It depends on what you’re working on. Many clients see meaningful change within 8–12 sessions of focused work; longer-standing patterns may run 16–24. A typical course at Thrivion is 4–9 months. Your clinician gives you a clearer sense after the first session or two.

Do you do medication?

No. Thrivion is a talk-therapy practice — all clinicians are master’s-level LIMHP or LMHP, not prescribers. When medication is part of your plan, we coordinate with your prescriber. If you don’t have one and want help finding one, we refer to Omaha prescribers we trust.

In-person or telehealth?

Either. Some clients prefer in-person for the presence; others prefer telehealth for the lower threshold to show up consistently. Most clients blend — first session in person, telehealth when the week is full.

I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help. What’s different here?

Two things. First, we match modality to the specific shape of what you’re working on, not the other way around. Second, we work the relational and family-system context the patterns actually live in, not just the symptom. If prior work was purely cognitive and the system layer never got addressed, that often explains why it didn’t stick.

Is individual therapy covered by insurance?

We’re in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Nebraska Total Care, Molina Healthcare, and Medicaid. For other plans, we bill your out-of-network benefits on your behalf. Most in-network clients pay $0–$50 per session.
